What is Lakshmi Puja?
Goddess Mahalakshmi — the divine mother of wealth, beauty, grace, and abundance — is worshipped through Sri Sukta recitation, Ashtalakshmi archana, and lotus flower offerings. Sri Sukta is one of the most ancient hymns from the Rigveda, composed specifically to invoke the presence and blessings of Goddess Lakshmi. Each of the eight forms of Lakshmi — Adi Lakshmi, Dhana Lakshmi, Dhanya Lakshmi, Gaja Lakshmi, Santana Lakshmi, Veera Lakshmi, Vijaya Lakshmi, and Vidya Lakshmi — is invoked and honoured through this puja.
Lakshmi Puja is one of the most regularly performed household rituals, especially on Fridays — Lakshmi's sacred day. When Goddess Lakshmi is honoured consistently, she bestows not just material wealth but also the inner abundance of peace, beauty, and contentment.
