About The Lab

What is RKRTL?

RKRTL — Rudraksha Testing Laboratory — is an independent certification authority established to bring scientific rigour to Rudraksha authentication. It operates separately from Rudra Kailash to maintain complete impartiality.

RKRTL functions as a third-party testing body — the same principle that makes hallmarking in gold jewellery trustworthy. Our certification means an independent laboratory has physically examined, X-rayed, and documented your bead.

Every certificate issued carries a unique report number that can be independently verified online at rkrtl.com — so you can confirm authenticity even after purchase, years from now.

RKRTL is NOT affiliated with any seller, dealer, or retailer.

This independence is what makes our certification meaningful. RKRTL certifies the bead — not the seller. The certificate belongs to the specimen, not to us.

How We Test

The Testing Process

Each bead undergoes a rigorous multi-step verification process before a certificate is issued.

Physical Examination

Each bead is examined under high-magnification microscopy to count and verify the natural mukhi lines on the surface.

X-Ray Imaging

X-ray imaging reveals the internal compartment structure of the bead. The number of natural compartments corresponds to the mukhi count — compartments may or may not contain seeds, which is normal in genuine Rudraksha.

Species Verification

The botanical species of the specimen is identified and documented. Origin (Nepal or Java) is recorded as part of the certification.

Certificate Issuance

A unique report number is assigned. The certificate is issued in physical PVC card format and added to the online verification database.
